Uncle Boy & Aunty

Together They Operate 'Uncle's Hawaiian Kitchen'

Meet Uncle Boy 🤙🏽

Uncle Boy, a native of Hawai’i, born and raised in the Kalihi area of O’ahu. As a youth he was an avid surfer, loved the ocean, a typical “waterman”. He balanced his time in the water with performing as a teen Magician, entertaining family and performing at venues around the island. In later years while living on Maui, he was a marathoner, tri-athlete, and owned a running and fitness store in the Maui Mall

His Love For Food Began As A Teen...

Working at the Hilton Hawaiian Village as a Luau attendant, his duties included preparing the Imu, the pig, and placing and removing the cooked pig from the underground oven. His Mom was a great cook, and he learned how to prepare meals by watching and listening to her. Uncle also taught a “Wiki-Wiki Luau” class, his students learned how to prepare a backyard luau for their family and friends. Later on, he moved to the Big Island and started a cookie and catering business. His cookies were a big hit with the locals, and his “Dinner for Two” catering also thrived.

He then moved to the mainland and helped his daughter and son-in-law in their food concession business, later helping them to start their mobile food trailers, selling local Hawaii style plate lunches. This gave Uncle the idea to start his own food truck, and now we are here today to offer the tastes of Hawaii to the people of Prescott Valley.  Aloha e Komo Mai.
